Yikes! Even though I know he won't come in 3 weeks the fact that he *possibly* could and be full-term is overwhelming. I'm going to sit here and say that if he is ready to come out on that day then I will be overjoyed. Just for that statement I'll probably deliver late...
Tonight we went to class #3 of Preparing for Parenthood. We learned where to go when labor begins. If Brent and I can remember where to park, what to take, and who to call we will be good. I guess I should make us a list? I go to the doctor for my last bi-weekly appointment on Thursday. I do not want to weigh in! I believe I will have officially crossed the 35lb goal I set in my head for weight gain. Oh well... too late to worry about it now.
I have my 2nd shower coming up this Sunday. I'm excited to see what all baby Jackson will get. He's so spoiled and we haven't even met him yet. I only have 2 things left to do and then the nursery will be finished. I promise to post pictures as soon as it's complete.
That's all I have time for now. I'm tired and Charlie looks ready to go snuggle. Updates soon :)

Thomas Family Beach Trip
Well there's not much to write about... Tropical Storm Lee zapped most of the life out of our trip. This was the first extended family trip I'd been on with the Thomas side. It was very laid back and relaxing.
PROS:
Awesome Condo
Nice Company (no screamers!)
Plenty of sleep
CONS:
RAIN
RAIN
RAIN
did I say RAIN???
Needless to say I think we decided that it can be a yearly event. I was a trooper but did my fair share of complaining. Heck I was 31 weeks pregnant and swollen up! (more on that it in a later post...)
I had no idea that rain was even in the forecast until we turned on the weather after we arrived in our 1.3million dollar condo. Yes, we found one for sale and they wanted 1.3 mill for it. CRAZY! I don't even have pictures of the inside but trust me...it was the nicest place I've ever stayed at...period.
Here are the pictures I took. We had 1 rain free day.

Big Momma @ 31 weeks
I can't believe that when we go next year we will have a baby... almost a year old. I can't wait to watch and see how the whole Thomas side of the family grows during the next few years :)

Thankful for the Weekend
Finally off work. So glad... the shrek swollen feet and ankles are now propped up and will remain that way until Brent gets home and tells Big Momma what he wants for dinner. Fingers crossed it's a dinner date night.
Charlie's back home and resuming his usual positions. Sleeping everywhere and cuddling with the bump. Oh how I love this dog. I hope baby Jackson loves him too.
I can't believe it's been 10 years since 9/11. I just heard on the news about a local military group visiting a high school in our area because some of the students are too young to remember the day. That makes me feel ancient. I can't imagine not remembering and knowing all about that tragic day.
Brent finally stopped boycotting his ipad. I gave him an ipad for his birthday/anniversary gift. At first he was so mad at me because he said I spent too much money. I tried to explain that I'd been saving and it didn't set me back but he just wouldn't budge. Since he activated it he's used it every day. I'm so glad. He honestly needed it. His laptop is horrible and won't even turn on.
Big game tomorrow. Can't wait to go make my bulletins at church then spend all day with friends watching games. ROLL TIDE!

(please notice that my face is swelling... one manager at my work said "oh your face finally looks pregnant!" how great that made me feel.)

What a DAY!
We got in from vacation around 7pm last night. We were in bed and snuggled up with Charlie by 10. I was up bright and early eager to get back to work and catch up on what I missed over the last three days. However my car had other plans. I attempted to crank up and leave at 6:45am. Nothing happened. I called Brent and he had to turn around and come back to the house to help me. We managed to jump my battery off after 30 minutes of charging. The commute was miserable. Due to Tropical Storm Lee's passing the city had tons of power outages and people could NOT drive. It took us 1 1/2 hours to go 8 miles. We had to follow each other to the mechanic shop to drop off my 4Runner. My battery lasted 5 years! I'm astonished that it never died before today. I got my car over the Labor Day Holiday back in 2006. I finally made it to work (in Brent's car) at 9:15. I pray that it never takes me 2 hours and 30 minutes to get to work again!
As soon as I got to work I had to turn around and head to the doctor. I had my bi-weekly appointment today. No big changes. A few gained lbs and normal bp and specimens. Those appointments feel so pointless. I actually do not like going. I'd assume just go again at 36 weeks.
Brent and I had our first "Preparing for Parenthood" class tonight. We learned about contractions and when to call the doctor. I can already picture me complaining and Brent saying "Play on Facebook" or "Hold Charlie" to make me ignore what's going on with my body. Oh to be a fly on our wall when that big day arrives.
I got home to a package! I ordered a Kate Spade handbag last week when they had a sample sale. I love it! I've already moved all my goods to it and it's ready to go for tomorrow. I'm slightly obsessed with purses. I always have been though...even in Jr. High.
Well tomorrow marks the start of week 32. Pictures coming soon of vacation and week 31.

Beach time
This post comes to you straight from our balcony at the beach. Our condo is AMAZING!!! We got a great deal on a 4. Bedroom 3 bath condo in Santa Rosa Beach. It's the first Thomas family beach trip in a few years. Gangs all here... Mr. David, Mrs.Melinda, Justin & Jenn, Mike & Moriah and of course me and Brent.
I'm also posting from Brent's iPad for the very first time. He got this as a gift from me for his birthday/ anniversary. I swore I wouldn't use it so it wouldn't come across as a selfish gift!
The third trimester continues to bless me with swollen feet and ankles. They've been pretty big all day today. It grosses me out. Since my last post we have hit the 31 week mark. I can't believe we have less than 2 months to go!! I attempted a 3D ultrasound on Wednesday but the machine wasn't cooperating. Instead, they did a 2D and I saw Jackson's profile. He's so big now! I can't wait to meet him :)
Brent and I also celebrated our 2nd anniversary since the last post. We had a yummy dinner at J.Alexanders. I'm so Lucky to have him as my husband.
Well enough posting for now. Off to enjoy family time!!

Week 29
No new pictures.... I guess I'm a terribly preggo for not taking more snapshots to document this journey. All I can think about is the BABY! I want to hold him. I do get a good laugh at watching my belly twitch at night. Brent still has a hard time seeing and feeling the baby move. I tell him that Jackson is mad at him and doesn't want to cooperate. Nothing major has happened around here lately. I made a wreath for Jackson's door (if you're my facebook friend then you probably saw it). Two of my grandmother's are coming to visit on Saturday to bring the stroller down and see the nursery progress. I'm still waiting on the glider to come in. I have no idea where I'm going to put it! The room is much smaller now that it's a nursery and not an office. I promise to post pictures once the room comes together and is finished.
Good moment of the 3rd trimester so far.... baby movement
Terrible moment of the 3rd trimester so far....swollen ankles & feet
I should also mention that I purchased a 6 week bootcamp session off of Groupon this week. Brent thinks it's hysterical (as do the ladies I work with). I promised myself that if I spent the $35 dollars I would actually go to the classes. I'll need babysitters.... any takers?
I go to the Dr. tomorrow for my first bi-monthly appointment. I'm excited... less than 11 weeks to go if Jackson decides to come on his expected arrival date :)

breath
It's getting harder to breath. I guess that's common with pregnancy? I feel like I need to lean back and catch a deep breath every now and then when I've been sitting at my desk or in a chair watching TV. It's strange.
I'm starting to wake up more during the night which is a pain. Bathroom calls now come twice instead of once a night. It never fails that the last time is around 5am which is a few minutes before Brent gets up for the day. It seems like as soon as I fall back asleep he wakes me with his alarm.
Jackson's bedding came in and his bed is up. It's adorable. I've been too lazy to drag my camera down and take a picture. I promise to do that soon though. I've also been too lazy to document my preggo progress. It's hard for me to take a picture of myself using the mirror and Brent's always out the door before I'm ready for work. You all do not want to see a picture of big momma in her p.j's... p.j's are a definite purchase prior to the trip to the hospital for Jackson's birth. I'm tired of looking like a hobo at night.
I can't believe we are within 12 weeks of d-day. I can't wait to hold and kiss my sweet baby :)

Passing Score
I passed the glucose test! I scored 135 and the nurse told me I'd pass as long as I was below 140. It wasn't as bad as I'd expected. The drink was cold and thick. It tasted like an Alabama Slammer shot from a bartender that doesn't know exactly what to put in the recipe. I felt like a terrible mom-to-be comparing my drink to this but hey whatever helps you keep it down, right?
I also got an email on Thursday stating that my bedding had shipped. I was pumped. I wasn't anticipating it to ship until the week of August 12th. Way to go PolkaDotDesigns for being early. I can't wait to post pictures soon.
Before I go I need to share a funny story from my OB appointment. So my Dr. comes in and she's in a hurry because she's on her way to a c-section. She rattles off "blood pressures good, urinalysis was good, you're in the middle of your diabetes test and a total weight gain of 24 lbs so far". I said "okay..." she then told me that this was the point in her pregnancy when she had to stop eating doughnuts. I swear Krispy Kreme has a camera in the new 280 locations drive thru or Brent tipped her off! He swears he didn't and it was a coincidence. She backed up her statement with "I'm not getting on to you but the first 20lbs come off easy and every pound after that is hard work". I felt very irritated. I think I look okay for a 27 week 2 day pregnant person. Brent was on cloud nine. This whole pregnancy he's been saying "You're only supposed to gain 20-30lbs". I always bounce back with "I read 25-35 is acceptable". Not that I wanted 35 but if it happens...hey it happens. I've also read that it's normal to gain a pound a week from here on out. That would put me at 37 pounds of total weight gain. 7 more than good old Dr. ordered... is it bad that after writing this I'd kill for some chocolate chip cookies?

Great Worship Songs
Here are a few of my favorite worship songs we sing at church. Enjoy :)
This is actually my church singing.. love it!
This is not my church...but a song I love
what's one more when you're on a roll....
and last but not least...
FYI: Mandi Mapes has an awesome worship cd out on itunes. We used to love hearing her sing at the Church of Brookhills before we joining COTH. It will lift your mood and bless your soul... I highly recommend downloading it :)
27 Weeks
I'm up bright and early (5:35am to be exact) waiting on my canned Pilsbury biscuits to cook so I can eat them 2 hours prior to my glucose test. I was an idiot for scheduling the test at 8am. YIKES! I did it so I could be back to work promptly. No one mentioned the no food or drink two hours before but you still need to eat a meal. So here I am...pajama blogging after my first really rough nights sleep. I'm blaming it on my belly. It's too big. We have a king size bed and we are starting to no longer fit. You've got Brent, Me & Charlie plus my 3 pillows. Two for my head and one for my body. It's comical. Poor Charlie falls off sometimes. I really hope I pass the test and don't throw up the drink. I've had a bad gag reflex this entire pregnancy so that's my fear. Hopefully it won't be as bad as I've been told.
Nothing much new has happened around here lately. We are hoping for a low key weekend that allows us to accomplish things around the house and for baby Jackson. I'm looking forward to my shower at the end of the month... and then a beach trip. I found out I do not get to get a 3D ultrasound. My plan fell through when the sister hospital of my facility said they no longer do this. Talk about a sad day. I begged Brent for the $175 to pay my obgyn for a 4D and he politely told me I was crazy. I guess we won't see our little man again until the big day. Should make it more exciting, right? That's what I keep telling myself.
Have a good Thursday...and think of me while I drink my gunk. I'll be sure to post an update later :)
