Life has been crazy the past few weeks. Good... but busy! We are in the process of moving. We are scheduled to close on both houses this Friday. Fingers crossed that our buyers closing packet is finished and we are not forced to reschedule. I don't know if I can handle living in boxes for another week.
We were able to spend a bit of time outside last Sunday. My hobby is photography and I met up with a sweet family and took some pictures at the botanical garden. You can view those HERE (feel free to follow that blog because it's pathetic with only 4 followers!) I was able to talk Brent into coming along so I could attempt to take Jackson's pictures. It was overall a failed attempt but I did get a few cute photos...
I woke him up from his nap to take them. Needless to say he was not happy! I love this little guy so much though. It's so hard not to literally break out the camera every day and take his picture :)

Showering Baby Grady with Love
This past weekend I had the chance to help host a baby shower for baby Grady. Baby Grady will be joining us on or around April 15th. I honestly think Jessica will have him sooner that that though. She is the most precious pregnant person ever. We were long overdue to see each other. It seems like just yesterday she and Michael came to visit us when Jackson was born. Now it's almost time to repay the favor. I can't wait to meet Grady. Neither can Jackson from the look on his face in this picture...
Aunt Jess & Jackson
My pictures don't do a good job of showing just how precious her belly is. The shower was great and I'm so thrilled that she got so many wonderful things. Jackson was also very well behaved the entire time we were there. He met a few other babies and seemed very interested in them.

Jackson's first foods
We decided to start Jackson on rice cereal when he turned 4 months old. I really thought he'd gobble it up and enjoy every bite. Boy was I wrong! He doesn't understand the texture... He thinks milk should only come from a bottle. Here are a few pictures of his first cereal experience...
(disclaimer: Brent takes blurry pictures)
Since cereal night didn't go as planned we decided to put Jackson's new high chair together and give applesauce a try...
"I'm not sure what I think about this dad"
First taste of sugar!
It probably wasn't a good idea to give him Wal-Mart brand adult applesauce. Brent was determined to see if it was the texture of his milk or the process of using a spoon that Jackson was unhappy with. He solidified our milk from a bottle only theory as he gobbled up the applesauce from his baby spoon. We've since given him Gerber baby applesauce and he did okay with it.
Today I introduced bananas to him. He seemed to really enjoy them :)
Someone please slow time down or my next post will be about him eating a steak and baked potato!

Happy 4 Months Jackson
I can't believe Jackson is 4 months old! He's growing too fast (I'm sure I say this EVERY month)!! He's so fun these days. He talks a lot and is always wiggling around. He's very good at rolling from back to side. From time to time he makes it to his stomach. He still gets mad when he does that. This month he's started showing an interest in standing. He's also gotten much stronger with his head and neck control. He managed to break one of my costume jewelry necklaces last Sunday. Little Scooby has a good grip :)
